Ro: Day 365

The year of picture of the day is over. I admit I will be glad to not have to worry about taking a picture every single day, especially on days when nothing is really going on. This last gem was taken by the next generation of photographers. It is probably one of the best pictures Connor has ever taken, so I honor him on this last day by posting his work.

Ro: Day 364

We had popped up to Prescott Valley this weekend because there was a snowstorm forecast for Saturday, which didn't come. We needed to go home Saturday night without seeing more than a flurry here or there. Sunday I woke up to this picture sent from my mom. Bummer.

Ro: Day 363

Mom and Dad have a little Foosball table. Aaron and I threw down. Can you guess who won?

Ro: Day 362

Connor loves to go to Grandma and Grandpa Legler's, in part due to all the toys they have accumulated for grandkids and the fact that Grandpa will sit and "play toys" with him. I noticed this dinosaur that looked like he had his leg chewed off by a kid at one point, but it also had a very creative peg leg. I asked my dad who had fitted the dino with his prosthetic, and he admitted that it was he who had done it so he could get it to stand up better. I think it is safe to say that Grandpa enjoys playing toys with the grandkids as much as they do.

Ro: Day 361

Our Stake's church ball season started tonight. Our ward got destroyed but I very much enjoyed watching Aaron play. I do admit that I think he is just soooooo cute (in a manly way) when he plays sports. Oo la la.

Ro: Day 360

Connor had a crayon and was sitting by himself with some paper talking to himself. I wasn't really paying attention to him at first but then I started listening to what he was saying. In a very stern voice he was saying, "don't draw on floor! Don't draw on couch! Don't draw on TV!" At least I know he knows where he isn't supposed to draw.

Ro: Day 359

It was Blue and Gold Banquet tonight. It was a lot of fun to see the cub scouts so excited.

Ro: Day 358

Uh oh! Daddy turned into a monster because Connor finished off his root beer float!

On a side note Kaylee says Aaron looks like those bird rat things from Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

Ro: Day 357

I finally read Pride and Prejudice. I grew up in a home where it was a favorite but I never had the ambition to read it myself. I knew the plot and that was good enough. But, I finally did it and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I can't wait to borrow the 5-hour movie version from my Mom so I can relive it in all it's flowery-language splendor.

Ro: Day 356

It was NBA All-Star Weekend. Saturday by far has the best events of the weekend in my opinion. The skills challenge, 3-point contest, and slam dunk contest. This year's slam dunk contest was the best I have seen since I started watching them 4 years ago. There was a 2 ball slam dunk, a 3 ball slam dunk, a dunk over a car, a dunk from behind the free throw line, and this throwback to a Vince Carter dunk. Blake Griffin (a rookie, and Aaron's favorite) took home this year's title. It was a fun evening watching novelty basketball with my sweetie.

Ro: Day 355

With the arrival of the new car in the family it really just wasn't practical for us to keep a 3rd car around. Good old Queen Bee was a really good car. I loved her for her spunk and character, and for her complete lack of a blind spot. It is impossible to say how much longer she has left. It could be months, it could be years, but we were in need of a more family-sized vehicle. We passed this automotive beauty on to Laura's fiance, so I am glad that she will stay in the family.

Ro: Day 354

Connor definitely has Aaron genes in him. He pretends to skateboard all the time complete with spin tricks and jumps. When I remembered that the Wii Fit has a skateboard game I knew he had to see it. Boy was he excited by it!

Ro: Day 353

When we picked out crackers today Connor insisted on the ABC crackers. We have been practicing spelling his name, but so far when he tries himself he comes up with "C-O-N-R" So he has all the sounds in there, just gets hung up on the double letters. He'll get it eventually.

Ro: Day 352

Connor was thrilled about his heart suckers that he got for Valentine's Day. I am doing my best to ration them out so they last a while.

Ro: Day 351

They love me, they really love me!
But I knew that before I got all this great stuff. Connor picked that little rose plant out for me all by himself. It is so nice because my roses will last a lot longer than everyone elses. Aaron picked out a nice house plant, the froggy balloon, the chick flick, and a whole box of fun dip. Weeeeeeee!

Ro: Day 350

Hey cool unicorn-tie-head dude.

Ro: Day 349

Kaylee turned 19! She wanted to go bowling. It was so much fun. I haven't bowled since Aaron and I first started dating. It was a great night. Connor got to bowl for the first time. He even got a strike!!! After our lousy first practice game Aaron and I made a little wager on the second game. The prize? A foot rub. It just so happens I bowled my best game ever: 148. I can't wait for my foot rub.

On a side note, it was the rock n' bowl time, and the music videos they were playing were not tasteful. I can't believe that is the stuff our teenagers are subjected to when they are simply bowling!!!

Ro: Day 348

Devastatingly handsome in any situation...siiiiiiiigh.

Ro: Day 347

My mom paid us a lovely visit and brought Connor 2 new pairs of shoes. He loves them so much that he wanted to get dressed first thing in the morning so he could put them on. He was dressed before we even had breakfast, and we usually accomplish that around lunch. That should tell you how much his loves his new shoes.

Ro: Day 346

For some reason that hungry frog looks reeeeeally familiar...
