K-Day 69

It turns out that my kids are not the only ones who do silly things. Ashley, one of the girls in our YW's group decided to squeeze into the kid's car while we were camping. What a goofy girl. Good to know that there are other kids out there like mine!

K-Day 68

I am late posting because I took the YW from our ward camping last night. We camped in the backyard of the YW Pres.'s in laws house they have 18 acres out past Williamson Valley. We had to drive past these sweet trees on the way. Aren't they neat?

Ro: Day 68

I got a kick out of the fact that Connor was walking around with one sock on and one sock off this evening. He is so much like Aaron in most ways that it is fun to see some of myself in there too sometimes.

Bryt: Day 68

When I pulled into the Costco parking lot today to pick up JD from work, this was the only close spot available. I was parked behind this bush, and it reminded me of this cool joke from like 5th grade. After everything I say, you say, "Behind the Bush"

There was a lady....
(behind the bush)
She took off her shirt
(behind the bush)
She took off her pants
(behind the bush)
Where were you?
(behind the bush!)

Such a silly stupid joke I didn't even understand in 5th grade. Still, it stuck with me. Niiice.

Bryt: Day 67

Darci is a hula hoopin maniac. She's a maniac, maniac, on the floor!

K-Day 67

Tonight was Danielle's sports banquet, she got certificates for both seasons of soccer and basketball. She lettered in Basketball and the Spring season of Soccer! Guess it's time to invest in a jacket. Way to go D!!

Diane Day 67, May 6

This is the view from the backyard we went to today to do a job estimate. This is how the other half lives, the half with real money.

Ro: Day 67

When I got the vacuum out today Connor grabbed his teddy bear and climbed onto the recliner to wait out the scary vacuum cleaner, as usual. But I no sooner had made one pass with the vacuum when he was suddenly beside me reaching for the handle of this machine that used to terrify him. He took care of the rest of the carpet (with my help). I am just so proud of him for overcoming his fear of the vacuum.

Bryt: Day 66

My new house is in total disarray. Beware messy mess, I will tackle your butt tomorrow.

Ro: Day 66

Laura and I planted this bush today. I don't know what kind it is, but we decided to name it since plants grow better when you talk to them. Her name is Plantina, and we gave her a nice pep talk.

K-Day 66

After sitting through an all day soccer tourney and one softball game, my redneck roots are shining through.

Diane Day 66, May 5

Walt creating the tree wells of bricks. They look really nice and I can hardly wait till next year to have some pears, peaches and plums.

Bryt: Day 65

This morning Morgan came into my room holding the package of Hostess Shortcakes leftover from Ian's blessing bbq. She said "Mom, wanna have some muffins for breakfast?" So I said, "Sure" and lo and behold, I am the epitome of healthy eating and mothering.

Ro: Day 65

I think that I have accidentally gotten my kid addicted to his blanket, or his "baby," as he calls it. He asks for it more and more instead of less and less, and today he just had to have it with his lunch.

Diane Day 65, May 4

Sure enough, there is a hole in the road. Perhaps that is why we shouldn't drive on that private road, we might end up in the ditch.

Diane Day 64, May 3

Why is there a speed limit sign if you can't drive down the road?

K-Day 65

Who doesn't love to have your own drive-in theater?!

Ro: Day 64

Tonight for family night we did yard work. It was satisfying and tomorrow i will be very sore form all the weed pulling.

Bryt: Day 64

Today I had Ian sitting up on against the arm rest of our sofa and he slid right over and slowly face planted into the couch cushion. I walked over and readjusted him, then went back to my room to grab something. When I came back in, Morgan was sitting right next to him saying "Don't worry Ian, I won't let you fall over. My legs can catch you." She is such a sweet big sister and really is always looking out for that little brother of hers.

K-Day 64

This was my birthday card from Auntie Shelley, it speaks volumes! I can pinpoint all my kids in this card and even some of the nephews and nieces! Who do you think everyone is??

Diane Day 63, May 2

Remington, second son of my oldest daughter, and my fourth grandchild. He is collecting fast offerings. Doesn't he look sharp? It was neat to have 2 grandsons passing the Sacrament today. I enjoyed haveing them preform their Preisthood responsibilities.

Ro: Day 63

This is Sam. He is my little brother (-in-law). Ok, ok, he is just a few months younger than me and I actually always think of him being older than I am. He was using our computer for homework today so he could use our printer. He may seem very studious here but he also likes to hunt and play sports and work on cars. He is also one of Connor's favorite people. Connor loves his Uncle Sam.

Bryt: Day 63

My Handsome Boy got blessed today by my Handsome Man. I am so thankful to have a worthy priesthood holder for my husband, and so many men who helped show him what that means. (and of course, Morgan couldn't handle not being in the photo...and of course, she has Grandpa wrapped around her finger so into the photo she went!)

K-Day 62

I loved this pic of Sammy and Stetson sitting in the freezing pool yesterday. Glad those big cousins can help keep an eye on the little ones!

Bryt: Day 62

Yep. That's my whole life snoozing in that bed.

Bryt: Day 61

One of my many attempts at getting a good picture of Morgan at the temple...it was raining (it was Washington, duh) and it was cold, and she was such a trooper!

Bryt: Day 60

This is why I have not posted for the last 2 nights! We just went on a whirlwind trip to Spokane, Washington and Morgan just could not get over all the airplanes! She did amazing on the flights, so did Ian, and she is still just as amazed by flying as she was when I took this picture.

Ro: Day 62

Tonight was Connor's first experience with a race car kart and I wish every store had them because it kept him so very occupied.

K-Day 62

Once again we are at mom's and I can't upload my pics, so I went through mom's computer. I found this one of Kody, I think he is about 8 months...believe it or not this little chubster turned into my skinniest kid and is now 13. He was so cute with his little pig jowls, he didn't just have chubby cheeks they hung off his face!

Diane Day 62, May 1

My girls and Robert, we missed Jason and Christine. We had a May Day (Mothers Day) breakfast and my children were so nice. We had a great time eating John Wayne Eggs and Fruit Pizza. mmmmmmm

Ro: Day 61

I can practically see down to his tummy.

K-Day 61

So in a rare moment Danielle was able to get the camera and take a picture of me playing on the playground with her and Sam today. We had a great time! It was cold and windy, and the baby shower was long over and everyone gone, but Sammy was just not ready to leave. So we stayed and played just the 3 of us!

Diane Day 61, April 30

This is Andrew the big bee. The program was a wonderful musical about a bug picnic. He buzzed quite well and certainly did not get stage fright.
I am sorry to report that little Bunny Foofoo did not survive the night at the Richins hospital. He was pretty little and pretty shook up. The good news is that he is now in bunny heaven eating all the clover flowers he desires.

Ro: Day 60

Aaron and I played on our ward softball team tonight. It was the most fun I have had in a while. I never realized how much playing team sports makes me happy until I have not had any teams to play on. We lost, but I felt so alive, ha ha. Yeah cheesy. So this is me and Aaron feeling alive. Well, at least as well as I could take driving through the parking lot.

Diane Day 60, April 29

This is our final excitement for the day and night. I have pictures of 7 year old Andrew who performed as a bee tonight. But just as I was downloading the pictures, the dog started raising cane at Gonzo the cat, all this happening in the house. After a minute I couldn't ignore him anymore and discovered he was barking at Gonzo who was "playing" with this baby bunny. After locking the dog in the bedroom and chasing the cat away, we discovered the bunny didn't seem hurt yet, just veeeery scared and shaking. No blood or holes. Walt insisted we keep it inside for the night, I was ready to put out back. It is resting quietly in the spare room in the dog kennel with some water on a soft little bed. Walt has a new pet. I'll post a picture of our little Bee tomorrow.

K-Day 60

You can accomplish anything with the help of a father's hand.

Ro: Day 59

The stadium is sold out. Connor Hulsey steps up to the plate. It's the bottom of the 9th, the home team is down. They are counting on him to - at the very least - bring the runner on base home to tie things up. The pitcher carefully selects his pitch, and executes; it has some heat. Connor zones in on the ball and swings with all his might. As the ball soars over the wall and the crowd erupts, the hero of the game casually tosses his bat aside and takes off to run his bases.

Diane Day 59, April 28

Our new dwarf peach tree. All those little dark spots are mulberries off the mulberry tree. They are purple. When I step on them they stick to the bottom of my shoes and then stain everything I walk on. I really dislike mulberries.

K-Day 59

Bateboarding lessons, thats what big brothers are for!

Bryt: Day 59

Morgan has such a green thumb. She grew that "tree" out of that stump in about 2 minutes.

Bryt: Day 58

Ian got to meet his great-grandma today. I think it was definately love at first sight :)

Ro: Day 58

Today was Steven's 22nd birthday. It boggles my mind that he is 22. It boggled my mind when he turned 21. Oh well, I suppose I will just have to accept the fact that he is turning into such a man. And yes ladies, he is single so snatch him up while he is still available ;)

Diane Day 58, April 27

Little boys love to explore.

K-Day 58

We picked up some parts for Danny and then ran them by work today. There happens to be this big talking parrot in the shop and Sammy loved it! I tried to get both of them in the pic since everytime Sam got close the bird would come out and talk to him. Apparently the bird is camera shy. I love Sammy's face, he thought it was great when the bird would say "Bye" when we walked away. Sammy would turn around and say, "Bye bird!" Then greet him with "Hello bird!" when we went back to see him, again and again and again!

Bryt: Day 57

Sweetest. Thing. Ever.

Ro: Day 57

THE FIRST OTTER POPS OF THE SEASON!

K-Day 57

The poor town couldn't survive the giant bugs, dinosaurs, trains, and monster trucks. Must be the most unluckiest town ever. But it sure was fun!

Diane Day 57, April 26

This was the coolest thing. It is woven out of reed onto a wire frame.

Ro: Day 56

Kaylee is graduating from high school in 32 days. I made her a count down chain because I remember just how exciting it is to be so soo close. She is the last Hulsey to be in high school until Connor. Eesh, I do not even want to think about that.

Diane Day 56, April 25

I have finished the May bday cards. Don't you just love this card for Damian?
