Diane Day 19

I loved the feet picture from the boys, so here is the official feet picture of girls Camp. We hiked up the west end of South Mountain. The entire hike was about 1 hour 45 minutes. We spent 10 minutes sitting at the top just relishing the view. Spectacular!!! All 5 girls and myself made it up without any really bad incidents, couple of slight slips coming down that's all. Even 3 year old Em trooped up and down. I was the end of the train, some by choice, some by my slowness. Too fun, too beautiful.

Ro: Day 18

Aaron's sisters are on Spring Break this week and it has been so fun to spend time with them. Baking, going to the park, squeezing lemonade, shopping, just all sorts of fun. I have 4 brothers and no sisters. Over the years I have had AMAZING gal pals, and my brothers have married the coolest girls. But this week it has been fun to sort of get a glimpse of what it is like to live with sisters. I love these girls and I am so glad that they are a part of my family.

Diane Day 18

Kid's camp session 2 -- The Girls. First we made bread, for dinner. Then we decided to make noodles for lunch tomorrow. Too bad Kristi is in Prescott. mmmmmmm. The girls are certainly less tiring than the young boys. But both groups have been fun. Emmalee has gone to sleep in the house so she and Kaitland are sleeping inside. Danielle, Lauryn and Danzi are sleeping out side.

Bryt: Day 18

This is JD's birthday present. He is so excited it's like Christmas again. I've decided I LOVE this new hobby of his, because he always takes Morgan with him and it is a great way to get in some family time. Which, I gotta say, is always the best time.

K-Day 18

Sammy wanted a "cookie" even though I told him the brownies were all gone. So he grabbed the pan off the counter and proceded to lick it clean! Don't tell him there are no "cookies" left!

Diane Day 17

I don't have much umph today. The quick trip to Prescott to exchange grandkids was not relaxing at all. The girls are certainly a wonderful change of pace from the boys though. This old wooden glider is a good visual for my emotions right now. Tomorrow I will feel better and full of energy again.

Bryt: Day 17

Morgan and I got some good Mommy-Morgan time today while we made this awesome leprechaun trap. She's hoping to catch a little guy (well she calls them animals) but don't worry, we had a talk about how tricky those little leprechauns can be.

K-Day 17

Yesterday we went hiking around Willow Lake and the Dells, Simba loved getting outside and in the water. When we let go of the leash he would grab it and walk or swim himself. What a funny dog.

Ro: Day 17

Connor finally figured out how to blow his bubbles all by himself. Kind of a bummer, because now I won't get to play with his bubbles as much. I guess I will have to get a bottle of my own bubbles because Connor is not very good at sharing.

Diane Day 16

The end of the First Session of "RR Kids Camp". These are the 10 feet that have been running through and around the place for 28 hours almost nonstop. I am sure that their mothers will wonder what happened to their socks, sometimes with shoes, sometimes without. I can not be held responsible, it's camp after all. This was a great experience, I am ready for a nap.

Diane Day 15

Yes, this one day late. Sorry. Yesterday was the first day of "RR Kids Camp". The first session consisted of 5 boys, two 5 years old and three 7 year olds. Wow, that's a lot of energetic testosterone. They were really good and I think they had a lot of fun, riding bikes, hiking the mountain, digging for worms, building dirt race car tracks, you know all that boy stuff, usually involving dirt. While we were hiking, I wanted to get one of our traditional yellow flower portraits, this is as good as there was. There was lots of movement including the dog! And Walt was "patiently" waiting in the golf cart at the bottom of the hill. I had a great time and am really now tired!

Ro: Day 16

Today Laura and Kaylee and I did some experimenting. We tried out a new white cake recipe and decided to just have some fun with the cake decorating tips we got for Christmas. Roses are hard, but we are starting to get the basket weave frosting down. Also, the recipe we tried worked out famously. I think this is the first time we were able to make a cake and frosting without a major fiasco. We must be getting better :)

K-Day 15

Today was Lolo's birthday, all she wanted was shoes. So her and I took off in search of shoes and she found these at Ross. Since we found them at Ross she also got a new pair of pants! Can't believe my "first-last" child is 10 already! Where does the time go?

Ro: Day 15

Today we were in Walmart when a cute little elderly couple came shuffling down our aisle. I smiled at the old man, and when I turned to smile at the old lady she started wagging her finger at me, and with a mixture of body language and broken english she proceeded to lecture me about my lousy posture as she walked passed me. It was so funny and it made my day. So today's picture is dedicated to her.

Someone once told me to be a good parent (and keep your sanity intact) sometimes you just have to take a picture and laugh. So I did.

I can just imagine her thinking, "Hmmm....well it seemed like a good idea...."

Diane Day 14

These are the real children. They would not let me put this picture on a Christmas card,hmmm. Kristi is the one, well can't think of a word to describe, she is the one. It is her fault that I even found this picture at all, since she used my computer yesterday, when I went to upload today's photo this folder was the default. The dog is Taco, the cranky little rat dot of my Grandmothers. We tolerated it because we loved her. I was going to post a serene photo of my back yard to soothe my spirit before the RR Kids Camp Week. I hope I survive. Five little boys arrive tomorrow for 2 days. Should be some good pictures this week.
