Bryt: Day 92

Today something not so very awesome happened. I started the laundry, and then our whole house smelled like poo. Apparently the septic tank is full and backed up past the stopper in our laundry room drain. It was disgusting. I couldn't handle the smell and our property management company wasn't open seeing as how it is Memorial day. SO, I sent JD upstairs to take the door off of one of the closets to put up in the laundry room so we could at least close off the smelly place. One problem, after all that work, the stupid door didn't even fit. What a day, what a day.

Ro: Day 92

My poor finger got attacked by the pop top of a can of tomato soup. I still don't understand what happened. One moment I was pulling back the lid and the next i was bleeding all over. Now 3 stitches later my finger gets a nifty little sock to call its very own.

Ro: Day 91

We had a little game night tonight. We played Last Word, Apples to Apples, and Imagine If. Tensions got kind of high during the first couple games but I think we ended on a loving note. It probably helped that I fell out of my chair when I was trying to take this picture. Nothing like some real-life slapstick to bring everyone together.

K-Day 91

While having a family bbq with the Oquists, Danielle snapped a pic with Danny and his brother, Joe, and our oldest nephew on that side, Justin. Trust me, this is pure trouble these three together, not sure if I want to know what they are talking about. I would like to think they were giving him some great male advice, although if I had to guess it was probably more how to not get caught while doing something he shouldn't! Lately I am amazed at the age of all our children, and wonder where the time went. Justin is 15 and the same size if not bigger than his dad and uncle.

Bryt: Day 91

I let Howie out back around 11:30 and remembered he was out there about 6. I went to go let him in, and what do you know, the back gate was open! I was super afraid he had run off and I opened the front door pretty much already regretting we'd lost our dog and whistled for him. He just came loping through the empty field across from our house. He's a good pup.  He's pooped.

The fairy princess adored her new pink overstuffed throne. The furniture procurement committee of the fairy kingdom found it outside a local yarn shop and retrieved it for the fair princess in the dark of night to avoid detection. The yarn shop manager is exploring the cudumdrum of what to do with the empty space left in front of his shop. FYI -- I took the picture of the very large pink concrete chair on a Main in downtown Mesa, in front of the yarn shop. I was so intrigued by it that I did a digi scrap page. Pretty cool, huh.

Bryt: Day 90

This little guy brought back a WHOLE lot of memories of growing up in Prescott Valley when it was "the sticks".

K-Day 90

My amazing skateboarder.

Ro: Day 90

Today is Sam's birthday and he is a hunter. This poor elk doesn't have a chance.

Diane Day 90, May 29

That's alot of little windows to clean. What were they thinking?

K-Day 89

Tonight we drove down to North Phoenix to attend a Graduation Celebration for Brittany Ethridge (in the blue shirt) She is the oldest daughter of our good friends Joey and Tiffany. The first of our 4 girls to graduate high school, next year Kayla follows and then Brandee and Danielle. Our 2 families used to be inseperable and didn't make any plans with out consulting the other one first. We met one summer doing swim lessons, and it grew from there. From all the sports the boys did together, to years of dance with all the girls. Tiffany even got me a job and we worked together while all 7 kids were at thier house one summer! My how they have grown! When we moved the girls were 11,12, and 13 and Justin was 6. I couldn't imagine being Joey and Tiffany with 3 teenage girls, all a year apart, driving, boys, hormones, and the constant chattering...Sure miss these guys though.

Ro: Day 89

Aaron went on an overnight hiking trip with one of his buddies so Connor and I are on our own tonight. Unfortunately I just watched a movie that creeped me out, so I think I will let Connor sleep with me in my bed tonight.

Bryt: Day 89

Ian had a bit of a rough day today. I got to hold him pretty much ALL day. So, this is my picture of the day. It's the view from the top, baby :)

Diane Day 89, May 28

A sunflower preparing for it's debut. Sunflowers are my favorite flower. Some may believe they are weeds, but I don't. My father gave my mother a bouquet of sunflowers when I was born.

K-Day 88

I actually took a different pic to put up, however Sammy trumped it when he dumped his popcorn on the floor than used his tractor to scoop it up. We finally decided to watch Avatar, as a treat Danny made popcorn in a giant cooking pot with oil and a hot stove...very good and probably VERY fattening. But oh so yummy, even tractor yummy!

Ro: Day 88

Happy Graduation to Kaylee!
(Connor sat quietly the whole time. The two ladies in front of us kept complimenting how good he was. I just kept trying to explain that I wish I knew how to get a repeat performance for church because this wasn't his usual self.)

Diane Day 88, May 27

Another cool picture from Queen Creek. I want to live in Queen Creek. It still looks like a farming area, and there are lots of church buildings there.

Bryt: Day 88

We are not big sports watchers in our house. So today when we were at my parents' house and the Suns player who I don't even know made that crazy 3 point shot with only 3 seconds left in the game, and both my parents jumped out of their seats screaming, I had to comfort both of my children. It was so funny to see that Morgan doesn't even know that a victory dance is a good thing!

Ro: Day 87

Helping to wash Lala's car.

Diane Day 87, May 26

Same subdivision as yesterday, Queen Creek. I couldn't ignore this wonderful pioneer woman.

K-Day 87

Today I helped with field day at Lauryn's school. I was in charge of the "Messy Room" game. Each class was set up in 2 groups and when told go had to throw as many dirty socks into the other teams "room". I had a great time and the kids really get into the game, including this class of 5th graders, funny to see even the big kids on campus enjoy themselves!

Bryt: Day 87

Freakin creepy bunny at the top of my stairs has been giving me the heeby-jeebies all day.

K-Day 86

Nothing beats holding a brand new baby! Congrats to the Periera's on their new arrival. Baby Boy or "Pablo" as the Oquists have been calling him arrived late last night. Hopefully soon his parents will agree on a name!

Bryt: Day 86

How is it even fair that he loses weight more easily than I do when I find things like this 8 PACK of Reese's completely demolished inside our truck?

Diane Day 86, May 25

This an entrance to a subdivision in Queen Creek. I had to stop and take pictures, you will see them for a couple of days. Do you remember Petticoat Junction on TV? You probably saw the reruns come to think of it. Billie Jo, Bobbie Jo and I can't remember the third one. Betty Jo? Oh well, I am dating myself.

Ro: Day 86

We went to a friend's house this evening and Aaron was trying to show Connor how to use a trampoline.

Ro: Day 85

Ok, I admit that I told Connor to hug the statue of Christ so that I could use the resulting picture as my picture of the day, but i did not expect him to turn around and give it a kiss too. I also did not expect that I would be moved to tell him that because Jesus loves us so much and suffered for us, he, and daddy, and I can all live together forever. I am very glad that I have a testimony to share with my sweet boy and that I have random moments when the time to share it is right. I hope that I can have many more of these moments, and I hope that he can feel that the things I say are true. I hope that these little tidbits I share help mold him into a man mighty in faith. I hope that one day I can grow from his testimony. So much hope.

Bryt: Day 85

She searched every one of those apricots and she was not happy that every single one of them had a "peanut" in it.

Bryt: Day 84

Morgan and Elly. They just love playing with eachother. Elly is awesome because she just goes right along with what Morgan says. Morgan found these muffin tin liners in a box today and said, "These is our eyes and we is gonna find some treasure!!!!!!!" How could I not make that my picture of the day?

Bryt: Day 83

My Dad brought out his dirt bike today. I learned how to ride it, and Morgan finally got over her fear of motorcycles, thanks to her Daddy.

K-Day 85

Since Danny always harasses Lolo's coach, she asked him to help warm up and then pitch to the girls during the game. I was able to get a few pics of the warm up, since I keep score and have not been able to take any during the game. I love that I got both Danny and Lolo warming up, pitching. Here is thier wind ups. I love watching Danny coach kids, he does it so well and I know he truely loves it.

Diane Day 85, May 24

I didn't get a picture taken today... So back in time we go. This was probably early 1980s, Kristi looks about 6. YeeHaw!

Ro: Day 84

The television phenomenon Lost ended today. I am 100% satisfied with the way it ended, but I have grown so so very attached to these characters over the past 6 seasons that I just cried like a little girl as the final episode came to a close. This is me in my most pathetic state.

Diane Day 84, May 23

I also so enjoyed my family at the dedication of the Gila Valley Temple. Kristi actually snapped this photo of Stetson and Danielle. It is fun to watch as the grandkids mature and their relationships with the cousins mature and progress. These two toddlers have been to known to simply irritate one another yet now they can actually laugh and talk together. This is what family is all about. Thank you to my girls for having kids that are close to each others in age.

K-Day 84

Today I got to watch the Gila Valley Temple dedication with almost all of my family! Just missing one sister and her fam. We had a great lunch after, at mom's house complete with Aunt Shelley and Uncle John. This day was the high for all of us, tonight! What a wonderful day! Hosanna to the Most High!

Ro: Day 83

Connor was kind enough to help his uncle Stevie blow out his birthday candle.

Diane Day 83, May 22

This is Hunter. He is my 5 year old grandson. He is so sure of his masculinity that he can wear anything he likes.

K-Day 83

We got to mom's house, we were asked to taste this YUMMY salsa she had made. Danielle said, "Boy I hope it's good, cause you already made ALOT!" Luckily it was fantastic, even though she snuck in some of the many apricots she has. The bowl was actually full when we started, most of it got canned, the rest we ate! I love homemade salsa!!

K-Day 82

Last night we finally had enough of Lolo's messy room, she was banished to her room until she cleaned it. 2 and a half hours, mucho yelling and tears later it still wasn't clean. Finally she was given a deadline of 8:00 to be done...it wasn't looking good for her. Dad mentioned to the other 2 that maybe they could help, I said no that that was why she never did anything because everyone helps and does it for her. After another yelling match, Danielle quietly went in and started to help, then about 5 min later, Kody went in. By 8:05 it was done and beautiful. I took this pic this morning while she was fast asleep, hence the lump in the bed. I am so proud of my kids helping each other, we rewarded them with a Blast from Sonic.

Diane Day 82, May 21

Do you see the wet spot in the road? That is a leak in an irrigation pipe that we are going to fix. The guys will have to excavate after the asphalt is sawcut. Roadway repairs are a pain. Lots of anxiety due to cars and stuff. Not mention that all has to be coordinated between the city and SRP. This is part of my exciting business life. Whoo hooo

Ro: Day 82

Already trying to fill Daddy's shoes.

Bryt: Day 82

Seriously, is there anything this girl wouldn't prefer to do in a cardboard box?

Bryt: Day 81

Morgan loves all the Mary Kay parties almost as much as her mom :)

Bryt: Day 80

"Come on MOM, let's exercise in ours exercisin' clothes!"

Ro: Day 81

This is how I felt all day today. Sick sick sick. And pukey. Now I am going to lay down some more.

Big Brother.

K-Day 81

Tonight we went to the Art Fair at Taylor Hicks Elementary School. Where we got to see the art of a budding new artist...we were also lucky she was there and we were able to get a picture of her and her latest painting of a cactus! Her name is Lauryn Oquist

Diane Day 80, May 19

The Cone of Shame! Poor Tank -- after being "fixed" Jennie said he wandered aimlessly getting whiplash hitting the safety cone against everything.

K-Day 80

Kody had his last band concert on Tuesday. Here he is playing the solo he put together on the high hat for Funkytown all on his own. He is getting good! We could tell what all the songs were, even the beginning band didn't sound too bad.

Ro: Day 80

Today is our anniversary. Number 3. We went to Claim Jumper. I so much enjoyed the time with my Honey tonight.
