Ro: Day 122

Connor had a very good time with Morgan tonight. They are playing Ring Around the Rosie. I like that Connor is getting old enough to make friends, especially ones as cool as Morgan.

K-Day 122, June 30

While at the pool today, I was taking blackmail pics of some of the lifeguards, since we know almost all of them! I caught this shot of the manager, Lori talking to Tyler, her son. Almost all of Lori's sons work at the pool under her, and they all still like her. I really like how the splash shows up and how I captured a quick mother/son talk!

K-Day 121, June 29

I am so excited! Aunt Shelley ordered a banner for the gourd biz, and my name is on it! Guess I'm not just a gourdess, (apprentice) anymore!

Ro and Bryt: Day 121

Ro: We went to the Twilight Trilogy last night. It started at 7 and ended a little after 2 am. It was a night full of fun and friends (both my real life friends and the friends that I wish were not just made up characters). That is my thinking-about-vampires face. Yes vampires. I am Team Edward all the way. Well, Team Cullen.

Bryt: I just loved going to see all 3 movies with my 2 best girls! I think it is so funny how when I get together with these two, it's like I am 15 years old again :) I am not as cool as Rochelle, I am not making a thinking about vampires face. I am not sure what face I am making. But, I like Rochelle, am Team Cullen all the way!

A new gourd. I worked on this on our campout a couple of weeks ago. This is a forrest design.

Gourds get a facial.

Ro: Day 120

This was the first time in a long while that Connor has let Grandma rock him to sleep.

Bryt: Day 120

Morgan is a huge pretender. She will pretend with anything. The kid takes her shoes off in the car so she can have 2 of something to pretend with. I can only imagine what is going on inside that head of hers as she is watching Toy Story.

K-Day 120

What do you do when your Roar gets thirsty?

Diane Day 120, June 28

The ramp they built. It was successful for skate boards and bikes and running up and down.

Diane Day 119, June 27

I will be posting a few extended pictures of our Big Boys Camp. I am still weeding through all the pictures I took. This is Kody test riding the rail they just finished. It worked quite well after fresh was was applied.

Diane Day 118, June 26

I am late again, so sorry. It has been an exhausting weekend

So Saturday morning of Camp Uncle Jason brought his tools and worked with the boys to build a skate board rail and ramp. It was way cool again to watch the men with the boys. Another natural teacher. Jason instructed and let them practice and gave them positive words.

Ro: Day 119

Connor has been getting a lot of flack for his "mullet" so we decided that today was the day for his first haircut. I so enjoyed his little curl in the back but the common consensus was that it was just crazy. So, I insisted that if it was going to get cut that I was going to do it. He was so good the whole time, and I didn't do a terrible job. Good enough for a toddler at least.

K-Day 119

Today was my first Sunday in my new calling as the TFOT teacher in Relief Society. I think it went smoothly, had some good discussions and didn't have enough time to get all my thoughts in. I enjoyed it and actually look forward to next month!

Bryt: Day 119

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Bryt: Day 118

Ian was being the cutest ever today. He would wake up, look around until he found me, then give me these satisfied smile and fall asleep with it still on his face. Cutest ever.

K-Day 118

How many kids can you fit in a baby pool?? When Sammy decided she took up too much room he kicked her out. He reached out and grabbed her flip flops and said "Out!"

Ro: Day 118

Aaron spent his evening changing the transmission filter in my car. What a stud.

Bryt: Day 117

Some days being a mom is just so much fun :)

Diane Day 117, June 25

The third session of RR Kids Camp is progressing. We started this session with a tour of Shane's delivery truck. Of course we managed to have it happen during the hottest part of the hottest day so far this summer. (112) The refrigerator trailer felt really good. Shane did a great job. Lots of good info.

K-Day 117

During softball each night, Sammy likes to play on the playground. Tonight one of the other wives showed up, Layla is 2, too. They would play together and we even caught them holding hands going to the playground a couple of times. This was the closest we could of a picture of them, they played all night and it was so cute! All was well as long as she didn't touch his Roar!

Ro: Day 117

Connor is ready to jump in on this picture-a-day blog action.

Ro: Day 116

Relief Society meeting tonight was a food storage potluck. Dessert was bags of ingredients that when you squished them they turned into fudge so here we all are smashing our bags.

Diane Day 116, June 24

Shelley's house in downtown Phoenix. Many wonderful memories are connected to this redbrick cottage. My mom and dad, my sister and my girls shared lots of experiences here.

K-Day 116 June 24

Lolo has been participating in a summer Drama Camp at Yavapai college the last 2 weeks. Today they put on the 10 minute play they were learning. Lolo was pig #5 in the "12 Angry Pigs" a spoof on the old black and white movie, "12 Angry Men". She was great! The play was cute and funny, just so you know they found that the Big Bad Wolf was guilty
of Destruction of Property.

Bryt: Day 116

Ian was fussing and by the time I got into the other room to help him he was already all smiles. Morgan said, "He likes my music maker Mom! I shared with him!"

K-Day 115 June 23

This is Bailey, she is in one of the other Prescott wards. She is good friends with a couple of my girls, so we saw ALOT of her. On the bus ride home, she would squeeze her face through the seats to meow and hiss at my girls. She sounded like a cat that was stuck somewhere, she was a fireball ALL the time! The night before her cabin literally tied her to a tree, while she hissed and growled like an Avatar, which is another one her faves.

K-Day 114 June 22

Tuesday was our last night there, the girls broke loose! It is completely crazy in Camp on the last night, screaming, laughing, farting, belching contests, (yes I owned that one, put that little first year to shame!), running and just craziness. Three of my girls, Kenzie, Victoria, and Anna started out with these shoes on thier head, then decided they worked better as phones. now these are the shoes they have been walking around ALL week in! EEEEEEEEEWWWWWW! But they would stand in a circle and each would just say one word, "Car", "Bed" "Draperies". It was hysterical!

K-Day 113 June 21

On Monday we did a service project. We walk up the road and do yard clean up for the houses that live along the road to camp. These people put up with dust and busses and loud girls all summer, now yes maybe you shouldn't have bought a house near an active camp, but they did and now they are unhappy. For the last 5 years our leaders have had the girls go up the road. Someone's mother lives out here, so they contact the homeowners and see if they would like anything done and get permission to help. It has become something the neighbors look forward to, and one couple have been buying ALOT of cookies and drinks and then serve us when we are all done. The house we did, used up all the garbage bags and then some, after the leaders drove into town to buy MORE! Here is our pile of bags FULL of pine needles. One of the leaders asked a neighbor if any of the other stakes do this and they said no, we are the only ones and they can't wait every year for us to come!

K-Day 112 June 20

On Sunday the bishop drives up for church. He attends sacrament with us and then we have Bishop time, which would be the equivelent of Sunday School. Bishop Mangum took us on a hike that lead us to the top of a peak, he had a pic of the temple waiting for us, to signify that the hike maybe hard, but the destination is always worth it. This man has a story or analogy for any thing you say. Great day!

K-Day 111 June 19

We have arrived! Kenzie decided she needed to be in the picture with all our bags! Not much else to do while we wait for the leaders to approve the takeover of camp from the last stake!

Bryt: Day 115

2 minutes before I took this picture she was adamantly swearing she was not tired.

diane Day 115,June 23

This is walking bridge across the canal. Can you see the old faucets on the ends of the railing? Way cool!

Diane Day 114, June 22

This is a dirt irrigation ditch. The new property owner doesn't think it is very pretty or functional for that matter, hopefully we can help him by installing some pipe for him.

Ro: Day 115

This evening Aaron and I went and talked to the mother of our perpetrator. We let her know what we found on our lawn, and we returned all 5 bags of shredded documents to them. She was none too pleased with what her daughter had been up to, and she marched her out to apologize to us. The mother was very nice and I wish we could have met her under different circumstances.

Bryt: Day 114

We brought home a little bit of Disney Magic with us :)

Ro: Day 114

Someone T.P.'d us last night. Now I don't mind some good-natured toilet papering but these yahoos also decided to dump a couple trash-bags worth of shredded documents on our freshly growing lawn. It took Kaylee and myself 4 1/2 hours to clean most of it up as we were desperately trying to preserve our brand new blades of grass, our topsoil, and the seeds that have yet to sprout. As it is, we will still probably need to do some reseeding. Luckily the vandals were not smart and had some personal documents in the shredded mess that let us know exactly who they are. Unfortunately we also know that their little prank was malicious in nature. I doubt their parents will be thrilled to find out that their personal information was spread over our lawn.

Bryt: Day 113

With as much fun as we had, the best part was getting to spend so much time together. I love these guys (minus Minnie Mouse of course) more than anything in the world. It was amazing and I am so glad I got to share it with them.

Bryt: Day 112

JD and I got to go on a little date night to Disneyworld after the kids fell asleep. (His Mom came and slept in our room with them for a bit) It was so much fun to run around that place that just makes you feel like a kid with my husband! Like we was just a couple of college kids again!

Bryt: Day 111

After Providenciales (Turks and Caicos), we flew to Orlando for 3 days in Disneyworld. We stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge where your balcony overlooks a savanna. This was right outside our balcony, maybe 100 feet away. It was awesome!

Bryt: Day 110

Sunset on our last night in Turks and Caicos. Don't let it end!

Bryt: Day 109

*Woo-Woo!* What a hot surfer eh?

Bryt: Day 108

Me and my love in paradise. Absolutely perfect.

Bryt: Day 107

WHOA! That monkey is huge! Good thing it's hanging out below that banana tree so no worries, it won't attack!

Bryt: Day 106

This is the beach. I know. It looks like a pool. If you don't believe me, look at the load of sand in the bottom of Morgan's swimsuit :)

Bryt: Day 105

The branch in Turks and Caicos is tiny and all the members have been baptized less than a year. What a humbling experience to hear people who live in bushes (no joke, they actually live in the bushes) speak on tithing. I will never look at tithing the same way again, that's for sure.

Bryt: Day 104

We flew all night long and got there about noon. Morgan was experiencing some slight jet lag.

Bryt: Day 103

We're on our way!

Ro: Day 113

I think this boy is ready for a vacation.

Diane Day 113, June 21

Sleeping herd of cattle. These guys caught me so unawares! How long have they been their sleeping on the corner by Walmart? No grafitti so perhaps not too long.
