K-Day 251 Nov. 8

This was not taken on the 8th, but I just loved this shot of Sam sitting on one of the chairs near the end of the show on Sunday. He was so cute eating his ice cream, which I should mention he went through 2 cones dropping both of them.

K-Day 250 Nov. 7

Mom could not sit and look at the skirts across from us at the Art Show any longer, she walked over and asked an opinion on which skirt would look good on her. I gave my opinion than Aunt Shelley came over, then the lady running the booth started grabbing other shoppers and asking thier opinions. It was quite humerous watching them ask random people and holding up skirts. I just had to grab a pic.

K-Day 249 Nov 6

A booth shot from the Art Festival. I had a great time with Aunt Shelley and mom some great girl time. Danny and the kids were around too and it was wonderful!

K-Day 248 Nov. 5

In an email from my sis, about unsupervised men, I found this pic. I could so see my hubby doing this!

K-Day 247 Nov 4

Gonzo guarding the DVDs at mom's house...don't mess with this cat! lol

K-Day 246 Nov. 3

I love catching sight of the hot air balloons in North Phx as we enter town!

Ro: Day 261

Tomorrow we are having Matt's going away party before he goes to boot camp so Laura and I spent this evening on his cake.

Ro: Day 260

He's got his eye on the prize and he is going in for the kill. Bubbles don't stand a chance against my boy!

Ro: Day 259

Connor likes to watch Grandma play her games. He gets really into it.

This is Devon. He is the little brother of 3 older sisters, 2 of whom are in my Primary Activity day girls. He wanted to paint like the older girls were doing, so I gave him a gourd and some paint and turned him loose. He was actually neater than the girls. I did not see any paint on his clothes. The girls on the other hand......

Ro: Day 258

Tonight was the adult session of Stake Conference. Aaron stayed home to watch Connor and let we 3 ladies go. It was a nice session and I am looking forward to tomorrow when we all get to go.

Ro: Day 257

That little mound of clothes is Connor. He was such a big helper putting all the laundry away today, and happy to help too. How long can this attitude last?

Diane Day 257 Nov 12

I actually saw this on Indian School Road in Phoenix. This is like the little car that Walt and I rented in Florida to cruise the beach in.

Ro: Day 256

Yesterday I made the mistake of telling Connor about all the people we will get to see come Thanksgiving, and he asked about seeing them for the rest of the day. So today, to help him count down the 2 weeks, and hopefully to save my sanity, we made a countdown chain.

Ro: Day 255

He was trying soooo hard to reach the steering wheel while keeping his bum bum in the seat. Just forget about reaching the pedal.

Diane Day 255 Nov 10

Whew!! caught up. This is my dad's lunch bucket fromt he early 50's when he worked at Reynolds on Van Buren and 35 Av in Phoenix. The spurs were a wonderful treasure I was given the other day. They have been holding out in a tac shed at my Uncle's. Jim, who is now family, but worked with dad in the cattle in mid 70's said that a cowboy never forgets whose spurs are whose when I asked him how he knew. He then went into his Stories of Roy Rogers, Lee Roy, that is. I am going to plan a time for Jim to come and talk and spin the tales of that time in my dad's life for posterity.

Diane Day 254 Nov 9

Lovely Lauryn.

Diane Day 252-253 Nov 7-8

Shelley's gourd.
Shelley and Kristi selling gourds.

Diane Day 250-251 Nov 5-6

These were both older gourds, and I think they turned out pretty good. I have gobs of older gourds.

Diane Day 249 Nov 4

Wow, I did not realize that I was so far out of date. I did finally take the pictures off the camera for the last week. This is the ward Trunk or Treat. Walt is a Hot Dog Vendor.

Bryt: Day 254 (Tuesday, November 9th)

We are selling our truck and it seems like my life has been cleaning it the last few days. I have gotten obsessive. Even used q-tips to get into the tiny cracks. But boy was it worth it. It sure is one nice truck...too bad it can't be our nice truck anymore :(  Oh well, I would rather have less stress and not have the nice truck. Leather is overrated.

Bryt: Day 253 (Monday November 8th)

I had so so so much fun playing soccer with Morgan and Sam in the backyard today. It was easily the best part of my week!

Bryt: Day 252 (Sunday November 7th)

Of course it would be a shame to wear matched knee high socks.

Bryt: Day 251 (Saturday November 6)

He just couldn't fight it a moment more.

Ro: Day 254

Of course every kid needs the bath-time-cool-shampoo-hair photograph.

Ro: Day 253

A cubical of this size should not have taken me 2 and a half hours to clean, but it did. I did go through all his clothes and take out all the ones he outgrew. And i did purge his toys of all the broken ones. So I guess it was a deep cleaning, but still. I am a slooooow cleaner. Always have been, probably always will be.

Ro: Day 252

Where is Warehouse Mouse?
He's there, inside my house!

Ro: Day 251

Aaron surprised us and took us to the World Wildlife Zoo today. One of Connor's favorite parts was the petting zoo. As you can see the animals enjoyed us visiting them there as well. In this picture my bag is being eaten, and my hair is being eaten, and my hand is being licked to death! It was such a great day! I can't wait to post the rest of the pictures on my other blog.

Ro: Day 250

I went and had lunch with my good friend Nalene today. I always have such a good time visiting with her. I count myself lucky to have her as a friend.

Bryt: Day 250

I have decided I have this whole year's worth of photos thing real easy because there are just so many firsts of Ian's that I can document. Like this one: Ian's first finger food.

Bryt: Day 249

How did I ever end up with such a blonde hair, blue eyed little girl!?

Ro: Day 249

This is kind of an old picture, but it is the most recent picture I had of Grandpa Christensen. Today is his 91st birthday! We went to visit him but I forgot to take a picture (BLAST!) I hope that I am as healthy and sound of mind as he is when I get to be his age.

Ro: Day 248

It's pictures like these that make me so grateful for the era of digital cameras so that I don't end up paying for rolls of Connor photography.

Bryt: Day 248

Oy Vey.

Diane Day 248 Nov 3

Another picture of men without supervision. Unfortunately, I can see several men in my family either doing that or already have tried it. This includes my dad, who would have used a car instead of a quad. (only because that would have been before quads)

Diane Day 247 Nov 2

This is from an email I received from Tobie regarding pictures of what men do when they do not have supervision.

Bryt: Day 247 (Tuesday, November 2)

I decided to chop my side bangs and make them straight bangs today. I have had side bangs since I was like 14....no, probably 12. I thought it was a big change, and JD didn't even notice. Men. Hmfff.

Bryt: Day 246 (Monday, November 1st)

Look at those thighs!

Bryt: Day 245 (Sunday, October 31)

For our 5th Sunday lesson we had a set of senior missionaries visit our ward. They began speaking and I started thinking about the kind of devotion it takes to serve a mission and how these people must have been so good their whole lives and he was probably a bishop at some point and yada yada yada...my basic thoughts were headed in the direction of "they must be perfect". They talked about how they met while they were serving together in the temple, and they courted in the temple cafeteria. Once again, I am thinking, "They must be perfect."  Then they explained they were here from the church's 12 Step Addiction Recovery Program, and she was from a broken family with a father who left her when she was 11 and she never heard from him again because he was an alcoholic. She went on and told us about all the resentment she had for her father until after he died, when a letter was found from her mother to her father, asking him to stay out of their children's lives until he got his act together. She expressed her admiration for his devotion to his family and her  heartbreak at knowing how hard it must have been for him to be a slave to something that kept him away from his family. At this point I was thinking she must be the reason this cute little couple was serving in the 12 Step Addiction program. Then, the brother got up and spoke. He talked all about how happy the two of them are, and how blissful his life has been....recently. Only since he got out of prison and finally kicked his addiction to alcohol. Here was a man, late in his life, testifying of the truth of the gospel and how when rehab, AA, and every other program on the planet could not help him, his Savior could.
I am so thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for it's cleansing power which can blot out our sins so thoroughly that someone with as hard a life as these two can testify to His redeeming grace. I know He loves us, and I know He holds us tight in times of need. I know the pain I feel when others around me are making choices that may hurt their lives is only a small sliver of the heartache He knows, and I know I can go to Him for comfort when I myself feel broken and weak. He is my rock and my strength and I hope He continues to send me moments that allow me to feel His love.
Even if they are hard ones.

My little Princess Peach :)

Ro: Day 247

This morning on our run we gals were discussing the election and one of them realized that our run would take us right by her polling place. As we passed it we realized that it was 5:48, only 12 minutes until the polls opened so I offered to wait with her if she just wanted to get her voting out of the way as early as possible. So we waited for the polls to open (they do a super cool announcement when the polls officially open, complete with a couple of "hear ye's") Anyway, she was the very first person to vote at her location. And the gentlemen who were running the location were fun to talk to while I waited. They even gave me an "I voted" sticker since I sent in my mail-in ballot last week. Hurray for the right to vote!

K-Day 245

Tonight Danielle was inducted into the Leo club, which is a youth club partners with the Lion's clubs. I know the pic is a little blurry, but I forgot my camera and took this with my phone.

Diane Day 246 November 1

Sisters and their babies in Prescott Valley. Aren't they beautiful.

Diane Day 245 October 31

When Stetson was born, Kristi was pregnant w/ Danielle, and she decided to go up w/ me to St George to be w/ Tobie. Danny met us at Cordes Junction to get Kristi from her week absence. The picture says it all.

K-Day 244

Just wanted to post that I sure do love this man!

Ro: day 246

Check out how cool Connor thinks he is with Aaron's little phone case. Of course anything daddy does is cool.

Ro: Day 245

Do you think Connor enjoyed the Halloween goodies we made tonight?
